OER Top 20 Award
OER Business Summit was held in Muscat on Wednesday 11th May 2016. Organised by Oman Economic Review (OER), the Sultanate’s premium business magazine, and held under the theme ‘The Diversification Imperative,’ the Summit included paper presentations by experts and incisive panel discussions on the imperative of diversification for the Sultanate’s economy.
HE Dr Rasheed bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, Chairman – Oman Tender Board, was the chief guest at the event held at Grand Hyatt Muscat. Nima Abu-Wardeh, the presenter of the BBC World News weekly financial programme Middle East Business Report, moderated the panel discussions.
Oman Cables partnered the summit as a support sponsor. The crowning moment of the day was the presentation of the coveted OER Top20 awards for companies for the financial year 2015. The Top 20 awards celebrate the excellence in Oman’s corporate world. Companies were evaluated and ranked on the basis of their revenue, as derived from the published accounts submitted to the Muscat Securities Market.
Our General Manager Production, Muhanned Al Lawati has received on behalf of the company the prestigious OER Top 20 award for the performance of Oman Cables in 2015. Oman Cables ranked number 7 and on certain sub-categories, OCI achieved the number 2 and 3 positions.
The companies in the OER Top 20 are quoted to form the fundamental pillars of the Sultanate’s economy.The report explained that the company is staying ahead of the curve, has developed a sustainable customer base within the various market sectors and has successfully executed projects with stringent quality and delivery parameters.
